Sam- 4 months

It seems like I just wrote his 3 month post. Where has the time gone?

Here's our little guy:
So, I can't decide on just one picture....

Somebody got tickled and about fell over-

I think we need a new onesie for next month. This little guy has a big belly!

A few updates:
  • Has been sleeping through the night for the past couple months (since about 8 weeks), now about 7 or 8 hours at a time. Usually from about 9:30 till around 5 or 5:30. However, there are exceptions- this morning he woke at 4:15, and went back to sleep until 7:30.
  • Our schedule (since me going back to work) looks like this: Wake up 5-5:30 to eat, stay up till we leave our house around 6:15. Two days a week we go to the babysitter's house, two days we go to my mother-in-law's (she takes Will to and from school), and on Fridays we go to my parents' house. He usually takes a bottle around 9, 12, and 3:00 during the day. Another bottle around 6 or so and again around 9-9:15 and bed before 10.
  • We haven't started cereal or anything yet. He goes to the doctor for his 4 month check up this Friday. I'll ask about it then. I don't think we started Will on cereal until about 5 months. He seems satisfied and is definitely getting a little chunky! He is still getting breast milk in bottles, and formula before bed. We have a deep freezer full, and have not started using frozen milk yet. Needless to say, I feel a bit like a cow....moo.
  • Wearing size 1 diapers and 3 month clothes. Some of the 3 month things are a little tight- we can fit in a couple 3-6 month things. Since this week is Spring Break, one of my goals is to go through his drawers and organize things.
  • He is napping pretty well and pretty consistently, usually 1 or 2 hours at a time. For most of his naps away from home, he naps in his car seat, just like Will did. At home, he likes the vibrating bouncy seat. Sometimes he will sleep in the swing. He likes the swing much more than Will did, and it calms him during his fussy times.
  • Speaking of fussy times, at 6:00, our house turns into a full blown circus. About 20 things are happening at once- Sam needs to eat, dinner needs to be made, Jeff comes home,  dogs need to be fed, momma needs to...ahem..."produce", Will needs to eat and then get a bath, and probably several other things. So if you want to visit or call, please avoid the 6-7:00 hour (unless you want to be put to work feeding children or cooking, haha).
  • Sam is working on rolling over from back to belly. He can get completely on his side, but can't flip entirely. I can't remember when Will did this, but I think it was around the same time.  His head is becoming less wobbly, but still needs some support. He'll sit in the bumbo seat for a couple minutes, but his neck gets tired pretty quickly. Bless him, he's got a big noggin :)
  • We haven't really been on any special trips this month (except the start of day care). We don't have time to go anywhere- we're just lucky to make it to 7p.m. with everyone fed and bathed!

Here are some pictures of our little guy:
First morning of day care. I have a picture of Will just like this on his 4 month post.

Loves sticking out his tongue and blowing bubbles

Fingers always in the mouth

Bless his sweet heart. He's going to love me for posting this picture one day. I love his little old man hair on the back :)

Sleeping in the bouncy seat. He looks so BIG in this picture! Where did my little newborn go?
