#2

Will is going to be a big brother!

This is little peanut at what I thought was 8 weeks, but turns out I was 11 weeks!

Without getting in to too much detail, I was pretty irregular there for a couple months, and ended up being a lot farther along than I thought. I went for what I thought was the initial ultrasound (8 weeks) and as soon as the wand touched my belly, I clearly saw a kicking, moving baby! The ultrasound tech said that I was definitely farther along than 8 weeks.

They had to pick a due date based on the measurments of the baby, so December 1st is what the doctor decided on. I could hear them deciding out in the hall and it went sort of like this, "Well, let's say November 26th. Or maybe the 28th. Or how about December 1st? Yeah....let's go with that."

So who really knows? Somewhere around there. Will was 2 weeks early so I'm thinking this will be a November baby. Doctor already told me no Iron Bowl this year, so I will either be watching it from home or a hospital bed!

Fast forward 2 months.....

I am now 17 weeks and showing just a little bit. Enough to where bending down is not especailly comfortable, and I am sadly couting down the days of sleeping on my stomach. I'm not a big fan of taking belly pictures, but I may change my mind.

We went for a gender scan at 15 weeks, and clearly, it's a BOY!! We are so happy!!

I would post an ultrasound picture, but I'm not entirely comfortable showing his stuff to the world :) I'm sure he will thank me later! I go back in a couple weeks for the 20 week ultrasound, and I will post a not-so-personal picture then :)

Will is so excited to have a "baby bruder", and now all of his stuffed animals are babies. He carries them, talks to them, feeds them, and rocks them. It's kinda precious :) I'm not really sure he fully understands what it means when I say there's a baby in my belly, but he sure does talk about it a lot!

An update on our busy summer coming up soon!
